Silhouette Mirror is a part of the Personalisation project that is focused on the investigation of objects that would be able to cause stronger personal attachment with the owner by remembering a mutual history of living together.
Silhouette Mirror 'remembering' the appearance of the owner. With each interaction with the mirror, it captures a bit of the owner's portrait, by leaving marks on the reflective layer. Over time the inverse silhouette of the person will be erased and only the collective time-based portrait of a person will remain reflective.
We would like to thank Katharina Mischer and Thomas Traxler for participating and supporting this project.
