The "Closed Systems" project was developed based on material transformation research. The project consists of several series of objects made of different materials, such as copper, aluminium, and graphite. By capturing the temporal processes in material, we use its transformation to obtain a new form.
"Copper Light" was created by the diffusion of copper plates and the transition of its particles onto aluminium plates through electrodeposition. Due to this process, copper formed a gradient texture with a high concentration at the sites of the proximity of materials and a low at the distance. The gradient indicates the movement of the material during the electroplating, demonstrating the diffusion process.
Materials: Copper, Aluminium.
